Raipur/A vigorous campaign was conducted in various routes of all 10 zones of Raipur Municipal Corporation to remove illegal encroachments, as per the directives of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, and Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi, the Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation. Teams from the Zonal Town and Planning Sections of various zone, in the presence of traffic police and police administration force, carried out operations in Zone 1 near Hotel Paradise, Zone 2 on Railway Station Road, Fafadih Road, Mekahara Chowk, Devendra Nagar Chowk to Mandi Gate, Zone 3 area near Avanti Bai Chowk, Baloda bazar Road, under Shankar Nagar Expressway, Zone 4 at Kali Badi Chowk, Zone 5 area at Amapara Chowk R.D. Tiwari School, Zone 6 area from Santoshi Nagar Chowk to Boriyakala Road, Zone 7 at Karma Chowk Ramnagar, near Railway Crossing Chandni Chowk, Saraswati Nagar Road, Zone 8 area at Ashok Nagar, Bharat Mata Chowk, Gogaon Road, near Kabeer Nagar Adarsh Chowk, Zone 9 area near Palm Bellagio, Zone 10 area including Amlidih, Lalpur Road, and various roads were freed from illegal encroachments through the campaign. Approximately 60 stalls, along with various illegal encroachments, were seized and removed from the roads with fines. Teams from the Zonal Town and Planning Department’s flying squad, and teams of all 10 zones have warned shopkeepers to operate within their specified limits and explained to them to keep their goods in check while conducting business. Continuous campaigns have been launched to remove illegal encroachments and seize stalls. Shopkeepers have been warned to operate within their specified limits and to remove illegal encroachments to free the roads from encroachments.
