Raipur, // In a significant announcement during his visit to Bhandarpuri for the Gurudarshan and Sant Samagam Mela on Sunday, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai announced an annual allocation of Rs 20 lakh for the Bhandarpuri fair and Rs 30 lakh for the development of the fairgrounds.
“The Chhattisgarh government is committed to the principle of ‘Mankhe Mankhe Ek Saman,'” said Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, emphasizing the administration’s focus on equality and community upliftment.
He wished for the prosperity and social harmony of the people of the state by visiting and worshiping the Satnami Samaj Guru Gaddi Asan at Bhandarpuri Dham. He described the gurus of the Satnami community as the inspiration for social unity and brotherhood.
During this event, Chief Minister announced also announced allocation of Rs 10 lakh for the renovation of the mini stadium in Bhandarpuri and Rs 20 lakh for the first floor of Atal Samrasta Bhawan. Considering the need for building better road connectivity for the convenience of the people of Bhandarpuri and the construction of Sandi-Seja-Bhandar road in Raipur district will be included in the upcoming budget.
Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, MLA and Vice President of Scheduled Caste Development Authority Guru Khushwant Saheb, MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, MLA Shri Domanlal Korsewada and Shri Anuj Sharma, along with many religious gurus and followers of Satnami society also participated in large numbers in the Guru Darshan and Sant Samagam fair at Bhandarpuri Dham.
In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had guaranteed 18 lakh houses for the needy families in the state. “On the second day of our government’s formation, we approved the construction of these 18 lakh houses in a cabinet meeting,” he added.
Prime Minister has recently approved around 8.46 lakh houses in Chhattisgarh. As the construction of houses is getting completed, the keys of the houses are being handed over to the beneficiaries.
Highlighting the achievements of the state government in fulfilling its commitments, Shri Sai said, “In compliance with Prime Minister Modi ji’s guarantee we have purchased 21 quintals of paddy per acre from farmers at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal.” The Chief Minister emphasized the ongoing improvements in schools across the state, aimed at creating an environment of quality education.
Under the PM SHRI Yojana, 341 schools are being upgraded with state-of-the-art facilities. He also highlighted that the recently launched Janjati Gram Utkarsh Yojana, initiated on October 2, will benefit 6000 villages in Chhattisgarh.
Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, while addressing the people said that it is our good fortune that the sixth descendant of Guru Ghasidas Baba is present here with us today. We should follow the path shown by Guru Ghasidas and participate in the development of the state.
MLA Shri Khuswant Saheb said in his address that Chhattisgarh is developing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Outlining the history of Bhandarpuri Dham Mela, he said that the fair is organized here in honor of Raja Balakdas ji. Here the ideals and knowledge of Satnam are told from the religious platform. Addressing the people, Guru Baldas ji said that it was on this day that Guru Balakdas ji took the title of king and established Bhandarpuri as his Karmabhoomi. All the associations-committees-institutions of the Satnami society should be tied together so that the entire society should be united and move forward.
